Scholarship Amount and Coverage
For overseas students, the ETH Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Programme (ESOP) will provide funding for:
- Tuition waiver and living and study expenses up to CHF 12,000 each semester are covered by the scholarship.
- The scholarship is given out for the whole three or four semesters that make up the Master’s course.
No of EPOS Scholarships
In 2023–2024, there will be about sixty ESOP scholarships available. All applicants will get word of the scholarship selection by the end of March 2024.
ETH Zurich Excellence Scholarship 2024 Documents
You must post a pre-proposal for your master’s thesis to qualify for the EPOS Scholarship. (Download the preproposal guidelines).
For your ESOP application, two instructors will be provided as references.

How to Apply for the ETH Zurich Excellence Scholarship 2024?
Applications for ESOP are available through eApply, an online master application. The deadline for applications is December 15, 2023, and you must apply and submit it before then.
