Prince of Songkla University PhD Scholarships 2024

The PhD Scholarships at Prince of Songkla University PhD Scholarships 2024 are completely sponsored by students from outside the country. During the time of the scholarship in Thailand, the recipients will receive a monthly stipend (currently 10,000 Baht) that covers housing and living expenses, tuition, and health and accident insurance coverage (90 US$).

The Prince of Songkla University (PSU) Faculty of Dentistry is aware of the critical role graduate education plays in laying the groundwork for original research and high-calibre publications.

Additionally essential to cross-border cooperation and academic internationalisation is a graduate programme. PSU-Faculty of Dentistry foreign Student Graduate Scholarships (PSU-Dent ISG Scholarships) are available for outstanding foreign students to study in the graduate programmes at PSU to support, improve, and internationalise the graduate programmes.

Prince of Songkla University PhD Scholarships 2024 Coverage

Prince of Songkla University PhD Scholarships 2024 will pay for

1. the stipend (10,000 Baht per month) that is used to pay living expenses and housing.
   Tuition fee.
2. an amount not to exceed 15,000 Baht, or around 450 US dollars, for travel expenses to and from the home country at the start and conclusion of the scholarship period, respectively.
3. insurance coverage for accidents and illnesses throughout the scholarship in Thailand (90 US dollars).

Eligibility Criteria for Prince of Songkla University PhD Scholarships

To be eligible for a Prince of Songkla University PhD Scholarship 2024, candidates must meet each of the standards listed below:

1. English is a required language.
2. All nations throughout the world are eligible.
3. International students have strong academic credentials and research backgrounds.
4. Only newly graduated students who want to start their studies at PS in semesters one or two are eligible.
5. The subject for which the prior degree was earned must coincide with and meet the curriculum requirements of the programme.
6. The candidate cannot get living expense reimbursement from another scholarship within the same time frame.
7. The candidate has to pass the following officially recognised English proficiency exam:

   2. CU or a PSU-TEP score of 60 minimum scores of 60 on the TEP, 500 on the TOEFL (paper-based exam), 46 on the revised paper-delivered exam, 520 on the Institutional
   3. Testing Programme, 173 on the Computer-based exam, 61 on the Internet, or 5.0 IELTS score.
   4. The scholar has to have a non-immigrant “ED visa” (Study Permit) and be enrolled full-time in school. The scholar who is travelling to Thailand on a tourist visa is not permitted to enrol and risks having their scholarship revoked.
   5. The student has to put effort into both studying and completing the research thesis.
   6. Every six months, the scholar is required to report to the dentistry faculty on the status of their studies.
8. In the third semester, the scholar needs to pass the proposal test.

10. The scholar must follow the graduation requirements of each graduate programme and publish his or her dissertation in at least two credible, peer-reviewed international journals that are indexed in Web of Science (with an ISI impact factor) to meet the scholarship criteria.
11. After being accepted into a certain programme of study, a candidate is not permitted to move to a different programme and is required to finish the study within the allotted period.
12. Should a scholar fail to make progress on their thesis or studies without appropriate justification, the graduate programme committees are required to notify the Faculty of Dentistry.
